Annual chimney inspection and cleanings are mandatory to ensure the safe operation of a chimney. Do not put off having your chimney serviced just because you can not see the dangerous build up on the inside of your flue where hot gases may ignite! Also, carbon monoxide can become a factor if your chimney is not properly connected, maintained and cleaned regularly. We take pride in performing a thorough cleaning to ensure safe operation. If you are a heavy user, it is strongly recommended that you have your flue inspected and cleaned at least twice during the season. Your experienced chimney sweep will be able to advise you on the recommended frequency of cleaning and inspection. Chimney cleanings are primarily scheduled during the summer months when it is safer to climb roofs and service your flue since it is very unlikely you would be using it during the summer. Also, most reputable companies will continue to service, clean and inspect your unit and chimney during the fall and winter but you may have to wait weeks and sometimes even months to obtain an appointment that is convenient for you.
